United/Lufthansa Sale to Europe Fall 2008/Winter 2009
United & Lufthansa are offering a joint fare sale to Europe for departure dates this fall/winter. You can get to popular travel cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Madrid, Athens, Rome, and Munich, and by traveling in the off-season you can save big on airfare.
Some of the sample fares are below (each one is listed one-way, so don’t drool too much until you double it for round-trip prices):
- New York-Munich – $211
- Philadelphia-Dublin – $219
- Washington-Frankfurt – $221
- Chicago-Vienna – $246
- Boston-Frankfurt – $257
- Houston-Barcelona – $352
- Denver-Rome – $395
Fares quoted don’t include some fees and taxes. You’ve got to buy your tickets by July 8, 2008, and travel must commence between October 27-December 11, 2008 or December 25, 2008-March 25, 2009 for the best prices. If you’d like to travel between September 1-October 26, 2008, there are still sale fares, but they’ll be a bit higher. Travel must occur Monday-Thursday, the trip must include a Saturday-night stay, and you can’t stay longer than 30 days. As always, read all the details before you book.
