Spend a week in New Zealand and Australia for cheap

Here’s an offer for a really great week-long vacation that provides excellent value right now. The fine folks over at Tripwizards.com are offering 6-night trips that combine airfare, 3 nights hotel in Sydney, 3 nights hotel in Auckland, and a few breakfasts all for $1,509. Sure, that price is from Los Angeles so other cities are a bit more expensive, and yes, there are taxes of about $300 not included in that price, and yes, they spell it “Sidney” once on the page, but this is still a really good deal.

I’ve been to these places and I’d love to go back, but it’s normally around $1,200 and up just for the flight to either one of those cities. When you add in the hotels and flight to the other city you’d expect to pay way over $2,000, so this is a steal, especially in an era when airfares seem to go up more every day. If you do try this, I’d recommend taking tours out of Auckland every day because it’s not a great city, but the area around it is amazing in places.
