Lake Balaton is the largest in Central Europe and Hungary’s “sea”. There are plenty of resorts and hotels in the area but not many have special offers during the summer, which is the high tourist season in Hungary.

Hotel Palace is a 3 star hotel located close to the lake and which offers both hotel and spa facilities.

Between June 1 and August 31, 2008 you can benefit from the “early bird action” which comprises:

• 5 nights in a double room for €240/person
• 7 nights in a double room for €287/person
• 5 nights in a superior room for €285/person
• 7 nights in a superior room for €350/person

The prices include 2 meals per day (half board), access to spa pool, sauna, whirlpool and fitness room.

Just for the sake of comparison, if not booking the special package, during the high season – April 1 to October 31 – a double room costs €118/night and includes buffet breakfast, free use of spa pool, sauna and whirlpool.

All prices also include VAT but do not include the local tax.
