In vein of the article I recently wrote on the 12 Best Ski Resorts in North America, I thought I’d start doing some posts up here for deals to the fabulous ski areas that made the list. With the ski industry hurting this year with the economic slow down, many of these world class resorts are rolling out some pretty fantastic prices. That means that a ski vacation this year could cost you a lot less than you ever imagined possible.

Making the list at Number 8 was Lake Louise Mountain Resort at Banff–one of the best ski areas not only on in Canada, but in the entire continent. Plus, this morning on Travelocity, I found some really hot deals on hotels near the mountain starting at just $58/night at the Banff Aspen Lodge. For less then $160, you could spend an entire weekend sipping hot cocoa by the fire, tearing up the slopes and hitting après ski in one of Canada’s best ski areas.
