Santorini & Mykonos– the perfect destinations for all

by Cristina on May 30, 2009   |    Posted in: Travel Guide    |    No Comments

Santorini has always been a romantic destination and one of the most popular Greek islands. However, with fame also came high prices. Everything – from flights to food- is little more expensive here. But when such an offer comes your way, it’s impossible not to think of visiting Santorini, at least for couple of days.

Accommodation on the island ranges from very expensive to cheap, depending on where you want to stay and the facilities you want. Hostels in Santorini exist but it’s a good idea to book in advance. Otherwise, you can camp in one of the three campsites available on the island.

If Mykonos is also on your radar, you can catch a ferry from Santorini to Mykonos and you’ll get to the other famous island in little over 2 h 30 min.

Accommodation wise, the island lacks hostels but there are good budget hotels in Mykonos to choose from, as well as two very famous campsites.
