Money-Saving Tips for a Cape May Vacation
If you’re one of the Americans who’s looking for vacation options that don’t involve dusting off the passport this summer, or even if you’re coming to the U.S. with a stronger currency and still want to hunt down bargain deals, the folks at Smarter Travel have come up with some money-saving tips for a vacation at Cape May.
This resort town in southern New Jersey is actually listed as the oldest seaside resort in the United States, with a history of vacationers dating back to the 1700s. Additionally, Cape May is known for its beautiful Victorian architecture and has played host to plenty of vacationing presidents and other dignitaries. But don’t let that pedigree fool you – you don’t have to be a White House guest to afford a Cape May vacation.
Smarter Travel has listed a few key items in their article, including one recommendation each for where to stay and where to eat. Plus, one of the biggest draws at Cape May – the beaches – are definitely a cheap activity. Of course, the B&B they recommend starts at $145 per night, which isn’t exactly dirt cheap – but it’s a bit of affordable elegance, and if you’re close enough to drive to Cape May then you might be able to splurge on your accommodation a little bit.
