Las Vegas hotels had been getting incredibly expensive until late 2008 when the situation made a dramatic turn in favor of the visitors. Now, the city is struggling to its rooms, and it’s gotten so bad that several new hotel projects are on hold, in spite of contruction already being underway.

You used to have to go a mile or more off the Las Vegas Strip in order to find a weekend hotel room for under $100, but now excellent deals are popping up even at some of the nicest places. On weekdays you can practically have your pick of hotels, with only a few of the most luxurious places off limits. And on weekends it’s now possible to find special hotel deals under $100, so the sky is the limit, and their loss is our gain, right?
