I just noticed Expedia has a new promotion whereby they combined cheap flights with suspiciously cheap hotels over the Labor Day weekend period. They have air+3 nights hotel packages starting at $206 per person (that hotel is in Phoenix), and that price seems pretty amazing, but perhaps many hotels have too many extra rooms only a couple weeks out? They also have deals on just hotels, starting at only $30 per night, and they have some promotion where they give you gas money depending on the number of nights you book.

There are so many variables it’s hard to be certain, but the bottom line is that if you don’t yet have plans for a Labor Day trip, you should probably check this deal out to see if any of it suits you.
