Find Off Season Travel Deals at Ski Resorts

It’s no secret amongst travelers that going to a place in off-season can save you money. But in the case of a ski resort, you may be wondering why on earth you’d want to go to a ski resort in summer…when all the snow is gone. Well, if you’re a die-hard skier, you probably wouldn’t want to. But if your main objective is simply getting away from home, getting close to nature and enjoying some good food – then summer can be a great time to visit.

Those visiting Colorado ski resorts in summer will find that not only do summer travel deals abound, but there is so much to see and do in the summer that a long weekend hardly seems like enough time to explore. There’s hiking and mountain biking, horseback riding and whitewater rafting, golfing, shopping, spa treatments, and lounging by the pool. You can go fly fishing, climb a 14,000 foot mountain, or attend any one of dozens of special events that range from food and wine festivals to rodeos to antiques shows to farmers markets. And unlike skiing, many of these activities are free.

Many ski resorts offer great deals to lure visitors during summer months. And cheap flights to Denver are much easier to find when there’s less demand from city-slickers looking to hit the slopes.  Between the flight and hotel deals and free activities, a summer visit could cost less than half of what you’d spend visiting during peak season. With savings like that, you might not even miss the snow.
