Europe flights are finally reasonable, for couples
After a summer season we in the travel biz would rather forget, decent deals are finally starting to appear on the horizon. IcelandAir, which has a great reputation and will usually even let you have a free stopover in Reykjavik on the way, has a new sale out of Minneapolis to all their European destination cities. Their “teaser” special is to Berlin starting at $1,077, which isn’t a great deal on its own, but the sale is they are offering companion tickets from $349, so a couple can probably spend some time in Berlin and even Iceland for around $1,500 for both, at least on airfare.
I personally can’t wait to try one of these IcelandAir deals, and I have heard lots of good things about them, but I do wonder why they call this a “2 for 1 sale” when the second person has to pay at least $349? They go to 9 European cities outside of Iceland, so you might find a good deal using this sale, assuming you intend to bring a friend or loved one anyway.
