I just read about an amazing deal on the frommers.com blog and this sounds so good that I thought it deserved repeating here. A California-based travel company does packages to Bali including roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles, 5 nights in hotels, breakfasts, and even some tours, starting at $749 per person. This doesn’t include up to $350 in fuel surcharges so you should plan on $1099 per person, but the amazing thing is you could literally take this trip with only $200 or so in your pocket and you’d have a great time. Things are very cheap in Bali and the place is amazing. So for about the price of a roundtrip ticket to London, you could spend almost a week in Bali, everything included.
