Amsterdam summer airfare for under US$800

Thanks to a company called airfarewatchdog.com, I’ve just come across some pretty good prices to Amsterdam, although they are from Canada. You can fly from Toronto to Amsterdam on Martinair for US$763, nonstop, including all taxes. From Montreal to Amsterdam fares start at $912 RT, which is still a pretty good deal this summer.

With fares from almost every US city to Amsterdam starting well over $1,000 right now, it’s tempting to actually fly up to Toronto, and maybe stay for a day or two before taking a cheap flight from there to Europe. Depending on where you are coming from it might actually save your money, or at the very least it’s a cheap way to spend a couple good days in one of North America’s nicest cities on your way to Europe.
