If you are planning a trip to London you are better off flying there after Labor Day, just between you and me, but if you want to go before then you might be interested in American Airlines’ late-summer specials from US cities to London. The prices are higher than in previous years, for reasons you are certainly already aware of, but at least these are good deals compared to most other airlines. The cheapest flight is from Washington DC starting at $800, and a few other cities are only a little more.

This sale doesn’t cover every US city, so yours might not be included. The prices you’ll see on the link are “each way, based on round-trip purchase,” which is annoying, but most airlines seem to do this so until they ban it we’ll have to deal with it.
