Alitalia Early Bird Sale for Fall/Winter Travel to Italy

by Jessica on July 2, 2008   |    Posted in: Specials    |    No Comments

You may have heard the name Alitalia in the news lately, and for all the wrong reasons – the words “potential bankruptcy” aren’t usually considered a good thing when they appear in the same sentence as “airline.” Now, Alitalia’s still operating just fine, especially after receiving a multi-million euro loan from the Italian government, and they’re offering an “early bird fall and winter sale” in flights from the United States to Italy to tempt you into helping their bottom line a bit more.

In order to take advantage of this deal, you’ll need to purchase your tickets by July 8, but your trip doesn’t need to occur until between October 2008 and March 2009. Some of the fares Alitalia is offering are:

  • New York-Rome – $706 RT
  • Miami-Venice – $793 RT
  • Boston-Pisa – $812 RT
  • Boston-Genoa – $842
  • Chicago-Milan – $885

All taxes and fees are included in the prices quoted in this deal, and the lowest fares are good on midweek travel only. There is a blackout period in the middle of the large travel window around the Christmas and New Year holidays, so the actual travel dates included in this deal are October 29-December 18, 2008 and then January 6-March 31, 2009.

To find out more about this deal, be sure to read all the details.

Jessica loves to travel, but she left her heart in Italy many years ago. She's working on relocating to Italy in order to retrieve it, but in the meantime she loves making all kinds of travel easier for others.
