7-night Alaska cruise starting at $499

While we’ve been watching prices fall for Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises in the second half of the year, we haven’t seen much price slashing for the popular Alaska cruises. All of that changes now as we’ve seen a great price from cruises.com on Alaska cruises for next year. This particular voyage, with interior cabins starting at $499 per person for 7 nights, departs on April 25, 2009, so it’s got to be the first sailing up there of the year. You can take this same ship on the same itinerary a month later and probably pay almost double, so this is a great option for anyone wanting to check out the amazing Alaskan coastline without spending your last dime.

I’ve never done an Alaska cruise myself, but I know loads of people who have and they say the weather there during the summer isn’t all that warm anyway, so really the difference between late April and mid summer is a few degrees and a lot of money.
