For those of you lucky enough to be living in a part of the United States served by Virgin America, you’ll want to know about the awesome five-day sale they’re having. You’ve got to book your flight by May 23, 2008 - yes, that’s this coming Friday - but if you can get your traveling act together quickly you could score big-time. Some of the sample fares I saw were:

• San Francisco to New York for $179
• Los Angeles to Seattle for $83
• Washington DC to Los Angeles for $169

Now, these fares are one-way and don’t include tax, but these prices are incredible - they’re especially great for anyone who thought that a summer vacation was out of the question in the current economy.

Check out the deals at the Virgin America website, or by calling their customer service number (877.359.8474). Be advised, however, that if you book your flight over the phone you’ll be charged an extra $10 per person.
