With so many businesses hurting in this down economy, everyone seems to be cutting prices to encourage spending. This means Subway now has $5 footlong sandwiches, hotels are offering free nights and Spirit Airlines is offering $2 airfares. No, I didn’t leave off a zero. I saw on Smarter Travel this morning that Spirit really is offering flights starting at just $2. Of course, these super low prices come with some serious blackout dates, don’t include taxes or fees and have some serious regulations, but still, it’s hard to beat flying to the Caribbean for a couple of bucks.
